On Mission Sunday, October 23, 14 Residents, AJJ members and Volunteers went to our St. Joseph Cathedral in Hartford to make their Pilgrimage to visit the Holy Door.
They all fulfilled their obligations to receive the Plenary Indulgence. The Music was so beautiful and uplifting.
One of the Parishioners talked to us about the history of the Cathedral. It had a fire many years ago and they had to rebuild most of the church. The entire building is now fire resistant.
There are no statues – everything is built into the structure itself. The Stations of the cross are etched into the walls. There is a beautiful ceramic tile mural behind the Altar built in 1960 and it is the largest mural of its kind in the world.
The new elevator was very convenient for our Residents. A truly blessed day.
