Father McGivney Statue
The Knights of Columbus donated a bronze statue of the blessed Father McGivney to the St. Joseph’s Residence home in Enfield. The Little Sisters erected a special garden for the statue to be placed. On November 7, 2021 the Little Sisters, Staff, & Residents held a dedication ceremony to bless the statue in its new home. The Most Reverend Daniel A. Cronin, Archbishop Emeritus of Hartford came out to give the blessing with the help of Msgr. Ginty. The day was beautiful and everyone was able to be outside. Peter Sonski in charge of the Blessed McGivney museum was also present along with representatives from many of the local Knights of Columbus from the surrounding towns.
After the Blessing, everyone went into the coffee shop to celebrate Fr. McGivney nationality with scones & Irish coffee. Several board members, AJJ members, Felician Sisters, Residents and many friends of the little sisters came out for the celebration. We are grateful to the Knights of Columbus who gave us this beautiful statue. Many of the Knights of Columbus donated to help with the cost of the garden.
