The end of August was a difficult time in Enfield as two Little Sisters departed. They left to continue on to what God was asking of them. Sr. Sharon went to start her Juniorate in Washington, D.C. It is a year of Formation before they make their Final vows. Sr. Sharon was very involved with the Adult Care Unit. She was always seen around the Home with a smile and saying “hello” to everyone. We will miss her quick step and how she was ready to help everyone.
Our other Little Sister, Sr. Mary Christine had charge of the Skilled Nursing area and was a registered nurse. She has been asked to go to school in Rome and will be eventually involved with the formation of our Little Sisters. She had expertise at the Organ and playing daily for the Mass. She was our special IT person and could fix anything and would always humbly say “My father taught me and Martha the IT person of the Province taught me as well.”
We will miss them both and we will wish them happiness in the next step they take. They know we will not forget them in our prayers and memories of all the wonderful things they did for the Home.
Farewell Sr. Sharon and Sr. Mary Christine!
