Tim Janis and Associates, a well renowned international composer and musician, came to St. Joseph’s Residence to perform a concert for the resident’s and Sisters. It was a full house, and for many a first time to hear the sound of New Age Acoustic compositions accompanied by short films appropriate to the music.
Tim’s concert associates included a violinist and a Penny-whistler/singer. The program included several types of music, including 2 beautifully sung Opera arias which earned a standing ovation. The singing of “O, Danny Boy” moved many present to tears. It was just that GOOD.
After it was all over, Tim came off-stage, went among the audience and personally spoke to individuals and small groups. He and his ensemble then passed out free copies of his CD’s.
This concert, as well as the artistry it brought, made for a wonderful day and we sincerely hope Tim will be with us again soon.
