St. Joseph Rock-a-Thon was held on April 18th, such a beautiful day in all ways. All rocking chairs were brought to St. Joseph Hall waiting to be claimed for the entertainment. The anticipation was rising. The day before, St. Frances and Sr Patrice went to about seven bakeries to pick up their donated baked goods. There was a contest for all the entries in the bake sale and the winner received a gift. Everyone loved the entertainment with various people and groups. The raffle had different baskets and several things of the latest trend. The baked goods were so well displayed under the guidance of JoAnn, a faithful volunteer. We Thank God for a wonderful day and we are grateful for the volunteers who helped. We are already looking forward to next year. This year the profits were for the bus for the residents outings.
The two beautiful cakes were made by Isabella Post, a volunteer who assisted in the bake shop activities. Brad Davis, the MC for all the entertainment was greeted by Mother Genevieve. Also Jeff Pyzocha added to the fun with his magic and the Enfield Chapter of the National Barbershop Quarter Society performed to the delight of all.
